Product
Our Quality

At the Cowgirl Cookie Co., when we say we use the finest of ingredients available it’s because we do and we believe as a company M.O. (see our Modus Operandi) as it makes a huge difference in the final product, how it tastes, how it looks and that indescribable feeling your mouth gets wanting you to take another bite.

Our Ingredients

So as an example, eggs are farm fresh and used quickly. We only purchase foodstuffs in small amounts so as to ensure their quality. We believe in using pure cane sugars, best-quality sea salts, really good vanilla, and the creamiest of butters available. We’ll stop here because we don’t want to give away all our recipe secrets but, be assured we go to great lengths to make certain we’re only dealing with the best available. That’s just how it works with us. We know our customers appreciate it and we appreciate your attention to our details too. That’s everything to us and really what sets us apart from the rest of the cookies in the jar! Our goodies are baked to your order and not before, and don’t contain ingredients with words neither of us can read or pronounce unless we were rocket scientists (nothing against those guys here, we are just chefs and not rocket scientists – so we keep it pretty simple and very natural).

Our Sources

We prefer vendors and suppliers who also are in sync with this philosophy that foods created with this belief in quality do taste better and are better for you. Now, when we say, “better for you”, please understand, we aren’t saying cookies are good for you, like vegetables for instance, are “good for you”. It’s a hard sell to suggest that cookies are remotely health-conscious, and let’s be honest folks… They are loaded with butter, sugar and other delish bits. So as in everything else in life, we believe and promote moderation in your Cowgirl Cookie Co. cookie consumption. So keep it to around a cookie a day and that’s just fine with us. A cookie a day, Mmm… What would that hurt? Right?

So in getting back to those we do business with on the back end, we only like good, honest, hard-workin’ people. The salt of the earth types you know, those who will go to the distance to support and deliver consistent outstanding ingredients and supplies. So when it comes to those who we deal with as vendors, suppliers, and the like, just know that we’ve checked them out, that they too are in line with our M.O., and they are in fact, good folk. We trust our sources and suppliers to deliver to us the highest quality so you too receive that when fashioned into your order.

Our Way

Now, when it comes to our products, please know this. They are handcrafted. That means, real people, and real ingredients, made by hand. So cookies and other products will come in various shapes and sizes. They are not cut or processed by machines, but mixed and prepared by loving hands, which means they will vary in size and shape from time to time. Now make no mistake, we believe whole-heartedly in product consistency – that is paramount but this ain’t no cookie cutter business where one cookie or one brownie when lined up next to the other one will look exactly the same. If that’s what you’re lookin’ for, this just isn’t the company for you.

What we’re sayin’ is this… Our stuff is the real deal. No fancy machines plopping out dough in perfect round shapes or huge ovens that bake your goodies on conveyor belts. Nope, that’s not us. We’re old-fashioned that way, like our goodies to look it and don’t see ourselves changin’ anytime soon. It’s why we sell our products by the pound. We could sell you a dozen of this, or a dozen of that, but size can be deceptive. Here, a pound’s, a pound. That’s what you’re payin’ for and trust us, that’s what we’ll make sure you get. Period. It’s kinda like another company M.O…. We don’t like cheaters, liars, horse rustlers, bad chuck wagon cooks, and at the end of the day, believe in giving you what you pay for. We mean business when it comes to our ingredient selection, preparation and service. It’s truly everything and results in delicious food like my Nana use to make. So that’s it, and how we feel. And there you have it.

By the Pound

For those of you wondering just how many cookies are in a tin of Cowgirl Cookie Co. cookies here’s a basic guide. As explained above, we don’t sell by size, we sell by weight. You get what you pay for here so here’s the Cowgirl skinny.

A ½ lb tin holds roughly 6-8 cookies (great to order if you want to try more than one cookie flavor) and a 1-pounder (depending on the cookie) can hold between 14-16. The 2-pound tin will hold 20-24 or so, sometimes more, depending on how fat we scoop them that day, so this will determine how many we can manage to fit nicely and securely in your parcel. A 4-pound tin just holds a ton and is the size to order for when you just want to have a nice amount on hand. This tin will house give or take between 45-50 cookies and yes, you guessed it, depending on the particular flavor. So don’t hold us to the count, it’s the weight you’ll get and that’s all that matters.

Oh and lastly, just so you know, we only sell our cookies in tightly sealed old-fashioned style cookie tins. Why? It’s the only way to keep them fresh as fresh can be, unless of course, you baked them yourself and if you did that, you certainly wouldn’t be callin’ on the Cowgirls. So keep those lids on tight… Much like you’d hold on to the reins when ridin’ on the range – both are just a must for a great experience.

So here you have it, our honest to goodness rule of cookie thumb. We hope it helps you in figuring out just how many cookies you should order. Remember this rule too – most people can’t just eat one!
