Harvest Spice Eggnog | a Potent Potable!

Posted by Jill Bosich on

Are you an eggnog fan? I absolutely love it! Where it's so easy to purchase a quart of eggnog at the local market, making it too is just as good and such a better value! It's said that eggnog was originally prepared as early as the 13th century by medieval monks in Europe who regularly enjoyed a drink called "posset". Posset is a warm ale punch prepared with eggs and figs. Versions of this beverage evolved using various milks and wines to create these potent potables shared at festive social gatherings.

Yes! This is a little indulgent and not something to partake in often, but this little recipe is simply delicious! If you are a fan of eggnog, this harvest edition full of pumpkin, pumpkin spice, vanilla and whisky is complete and a totally festive treat!

When you pull the ingredients together, it's so quick to prepare! You only need a blender and after a couple of minutes is done. Once it's blended up, place it into the refrigerator and get it super, super cold! Just before serving, whisk it up to remix if it's slightly settled, garnish with a dash of nutmeg and it's ready to enjoy! It's rich, sweet, and totally a great way to enjoy the upcoming seasonal festivities! So onto the recipe!
